This weekend has been a weekend of crazy cognitive dissonance, so far.
Friday night the delightful Liam Lynch was on The Late Late show with Craig Kilborn, performing his hit(?!) "Whatever" with two of the guys from No Doubt. It was kind of bizarre for me to have someone I've stood right next to and had conversations with to be on national TV (well, Malice was on Ben Stein, but that's entirely different).
Then last night I had cognitive dissonance for exactly the opposite reason, when I went to see James Marsters sing with his new band Ghost of the Robot in Sacramento:
"OMG, here's someone I see on TV every week and I'm only six feet from him!"
He's more gorgeous in person than he is on screen. Wow, I didn't think they made humans that hot. Here are some pictures for you to see.
The show in Sac was an interesting experience, mostly because I expected to be mobbed by hundreds of screaming fans, and there was barely anybody there. It was a very low-key affair, thus proving to me that people in the Bay Area are pathologically terrified of going anywhere outside of it unless they happen to be skiing. Unfortunately, we didn't stick around long enough to discover if they had a meet & greet afterwards, since Sacramento is pretty far away. Whatevah.
