Sometimes it's fun to pretend to be someone else. This weekend I attended an early Halloween party dressed as Gaz from Invader Zim. The costume involved a wig (made square with the help of a coat hanger), fake eyelashes, a tight black dress, some pink striped tights & sleeves, and skull jewelry. I carried with me a stuffed facsimilie of Gir. The party was full of people I don't really know, and the ones I did know didn't recognize me. I let them think they didn't know me, because I didn't really have the energy to explain to them who I was. So I got to be Gaz for the night. It was a lot of fun. I got a lot of attention, both desired and otherwise.
So my advice to you is: pretend to be someone else, even for a night. You might not make any lasting friends or relationships, but you'll have a lot of fun.
