I've finally heard all the first recorded evidence of Extra Salty (which is my band, if I haven't been clear enough on that). And though the recording quality is really the suckiest of suckies, it's still apparent that we're on the right track. Bee is going to go apeshit when he hears the song he wrote.

I never in a billion skillion years thought things would be going this well for us this quickly. We've only been playing together two months, rehearsing maybe once a week, and we're already pretty much ready to play out. A few more weeks of practice and a good demo, and we're better than 3/4 of the local bands I've seen since moving here. All of us are stunned by how naturally it comes to us. I was expecting months of toil and heartache and sweat and agony, at least a year before we'd be ready to strut our stuff on stage. And it's looking like it's going to be more like 6-9 months, at the absolute most.

It might sound like I'm tooting my own horn, and to an extent I am, because I rarely get to do so. But also know that I am definitely my own harshest critic, and if I feel like something I'm working on is good, it's probably MUCH better than I think. Soon you'll be able to judge for yourself.
